Favorite Artist(s): Kara Elizabeth Walker is one of my favorite visual artist. She is an American Contemporary painter, silhouettes , print-maker and installation artist.
How do you stay healthy?: I stayed healthy by art journaling, practicing intuitive art, prepare healthy meals, consumed vitamins, and delicious teas.
Why did you become a teacher: As an artist, I became a teacher and art therapist because I have a unique ability to inspire children to help them become critical thinkers, artist, and decision makers. I spent a of time improving my craft out of love and passion.

Advice to this generation: Keep on learning. Work hard and work smart . Be focuses and don't waste time. Time is the only 'resource' we have which we cannot get back. Keep your word. Be on time, be respectful.

Why did you become a teacher: I felt things could be better for this generation, so I am becoming the change I wish to see in the classroom.

How do you stay healthy?: Watching what I eat. Go to the gym when I can and try my best not to stress and keep a clear mind.
Why did you become a teacher: I always had a way of connecting with kids whether it was through sharing life stories, dancing, running, helping with math homework and just simply listening to them. Sometimes, we forget that kids have a voice too and all they really want is for someone to take the time and just listen to them; and I was that person and will continue to be that person.

Advice to this generation: Be grateful for what you have and don't have. Everyday that you wake up is a blessing. Don't ever compare your life to someone else's because not everything that glitter is gold. Be your own individual and walk in your own path. So many people’s lives are changed because of a teacher who listened to them and created a safe space for them (including mine!) and I decided I wanted to be that teacher for the next generation.
